Ok, the easy question:
For a Series 5,  (Web V 1.50 (113),  I can get a connection going. But
is there a way from the S5 to find out what IP I was assigned, and more
importantly, which DNS server was provided by the ISP in the PPP

My psion has just stopped. I thought the batteries had gone and replaced
both batteries. I also ran it from the mains but not a flicker.
Any ideas what has happened - how to get  a repair.
(I live in the West Midlands-UK)

The low main battery warning appeared and I checked the battery state: backup
battery shows full, main batts low.
Within an hour or two I closed the case (this turns off the machine) and removed
the AAs. When I replaced the batteries and started the machine I was greeted

I'm a Psion User now (NetBook). Do you really think Psion is a good
machine? Sure, the size is genial, but sometimes I must fight with EPOC
because something doesn't work in the way it should. It's really to say
I prefer RISC OS machines. The problem for me since years is there ...

I have bought 2 new 128MB and 64MB SanDisk CF cards.
When I inserted 128MB card into the Psion 5mx and switch the device on,
all my previously installed programs and files from 16MB internal
memory were erased, i.e. Psion was kind of reseted.

As anyone had any success in installing this astronomy program ? It seems to
install ok but when I try to run the program, I get ;
"SYSTINFO.OPX"
"OPX does not exist"

Does anyone know how to force an application to quit when it has locked up.
In particular the Web application. I know it can be done using the pin-hole
buttons underneath, but isn't there a way using the "Open files / programs"
dialogue?

I've got a Psion 5, which I use regularly for writing on when I'm out
and about. I made the stupid dumb mistake of using it at a beach (oops)
and have got some sand in the opening mechanism. The machine still
opens okay and works, but each time it opens, there is a horrible

I may have missed it but I can't see a way of password protecting an
individual file on the Revo (as you can on the old Psion 3).
Can this be done with the standard setup? If not is there any additional
software I could install to do this?

I need to reload my Citymaps application, and ther eused to be an
updated setup.exe on the tomtom website - but I can no longer find it.
Does anyone have it and could email it to me?  remove the not from my
email to get through.
