One thing I get asked for a lot is 'Which current mobile solution do I buy
to replace my Psion?'.

When I tap on the Word icon, it opens up the last used file as usual.
However, if I then try to create a new file with a new name, I get an
error message and it closes Word.
The error is called "Word" and the error type is 1.

Just went to open my s3 mx and it wont open past about 90 degrees ! Nothing
is obviously blocking the hinge and I daren't force it any more. It also
will not switch on.....
Anyone come across this before???

Still tangling with the change from a Psion 5 to an mx.
Advice as to how to install the WAP or web browser now - I've got the
latest stuff on the Palmtop magazine disc - do I just install  message
suite as before? Do I need Java to run the Opera broswer?

I leave in 2 months to ride a small motorcycle round the world.  I
need something that runs off AA batteries to check email, update my
travel journal, and download sites like slashdot, news & travel sites.
I *think* a Psion 5mx is best, but I've never paid attention to PDAs.

My 3a seems to be playing up or more likely user error! Recently when i
create an entry in Agenda and set an alarm for it, the alarm dosen't go off.
This seems more prevelent when the entry is repeated.
Any ideas?

I use the plptools for Linux to exchange, backup and install my Revo. But
during my backup-attempts the psion-nfs-demon (plpnfsd) exits unexpected.
(The Revo is connected via the serial port ttyS0). The Revo also sometimes
disconnects during installations and file transports. But ...

I am using a Psion 5mx and Windows XP and have, until recently been able
(using PSIwin) to transfer information from one to the other.

I've been synchronising my 5MX with contacts in Outlook for the past few
months. I seem to get a number of contacts duplicating themselves -
cloning! Can somone avise on what may be causing this and how I can stop
it? The data is then swapped with my wife's MC218 if this is a factor ...

Anybody out there know how to get a Hitachi 4GB CFII working in the Netbook.
I formatted it for FAT and the netbook saw the files I had copied to it but
it reported only 1K of space left. If its not compatible whats the biggest
drive that will work in the Netbook.
