I just bought a Palm V, cheap and dead in the box, but I hoped it could
be revived.
It appeared in good shape, but I'm sure it hasn't been used for at
least 6 months.

I have a T3 which has needed a new battery. I have got replacements off
Ebay, but I suspect that they are old stock so they are not very effective.
When I have read round this on the internet, I understand that Li/ion and
Li/poly batteries degrade on the shelf. I guess that any ...

If a PDA is described as "Phone capable", what would you expect that to
mean?
A... there is a slot somewhere for a Sim card and you can use it just
like a mobile phone.

I've started using a palm again, and my favorite utility "zcat" appears
to have disappeared.  I need to batch delete about 400 records.
In other news, is there a simple, free way to get csv data into a palm
using an os x machine?  Is there a linux tool that will work from the

I use my Palm TX with CJKOS, which works fine with English. But when I
view accented (e.g. Swedish) characters, they appear as Chinese. Is
there a solution to theproblem?

I cannot Hotsync files from the desktop to the card on the Palm.
I add the files to the correct box, they all say 'ready for HotSync
operation' in the Palm Quick Install but they don't go over when I
hotsync.

Can somebody help me?
I have lost the installation disk for PalmOne LifeDrive PDA and the
program LifeDrive Manager 2 is not available as an Internet download -
it is only distributed with the installation disk.

i've tried pretty much everything including hard resetting and my digitizer

Well, I bought a refurbished T|C from the Palm Outlet Store about a year
ago, and - son of a gun - it started decomposing not long after the
90-day warranty expired.
First, the screen started whining. Okay I can live with that.

I have a problem with my Palm m515. I installed Jackflash and Jacksafe
on my Palm. After starting Jackflash I moved some applications to
FlashRom. Then I started Jacksafe which crashed with a fatal reset.

I have a m505 with a broken USB tranciever chip. How can i rebuild the
cradle from USB to serial? The PCB inside the cradle has solder pads for a
serial connection, but they are called D1 to D6 instead of Rx, Tx, etc.

I'm using Palm Desktop 4.1.4 on Win XP Pro.
It's in US English - addresses have states and Zip codes for example.
Is there a UK English version that has counties and Postcodes instead?

I have a Treo 650 with the Blazer browser on it.
I want to check my email using my ISP's webmail service (checking your
account on their web site rather than downloading the email, since
Shaw doesn't allow non-Shaw IP addresses to access their POP server).

When I receive memos via irda or bluetooth these memos are intercepted
by Documents2go and opened as documents and not as simple memos.
This is very, very annoying!
Is there any way I can stop this without removing Documents2go?

Anyone know where I can download the photos desktop component for
Windows? I've got lots of pictures and movie clips on the Treo's SD card
but I think I need this app to move them to the desktop. I installed the
Palm Desktop but the photos app isn't there.
