Synchronize 2 palm devices with one PC30 Sep 2006 15:38 GMT1
I have a Tungsten TX, and have recently got a treo 650. Does anyone
know how I may be able to sync both devices with a single PC, so that I
can get the same info and programs on both handhelds?
Location of Menu Button - Palm 700p30 Sep 2006 10:45 GMT5
Does anyone find the location of the Menu access button (lower right
hand corner of device) a little inconvenient for one hand navigation?
I find myself using this button a quite a bit and it is awkard to
access when holding my phone in the right hand.
Any one here use Streetfinder by Rand McNally?30 Sep 2006 07:01 GMT5
The maps when downloaded to my TungstenT has only one or two street
names in it.  I tried the preference setting to allow more, but it still
only display two street names.  Is this a bug in the program?
Thanks.
LifeDrive - 'won't turn on' error?30 Sep 2006 06:44 GMT1
Is there any pattern behind the periodic refusal of a LifeDrive to turn on?
So far I've experienced four different LifeDrives, and so far three of them
have had this problem; the latest was replaced by Palm with a new model
only this morning...
Can I synch my Palm IIIxe with Microsoft Outlook30 Sep 2006 05:25 GMT2
I want to try Outlook, since it seems to be widely accepted as a
standard. I have a Palm IIIxe running OS 4. Will Outlook synch with the
standard Palm applications? Do I need to get any special software for
the Palm? Will I still be able to back up my third party stuff
want to "undo" data beamed to new Palm30 Sep 2006 03:09 GMT3
I just got my new Z22 and beamed over my old address/contact data from
my old Palm IIIx.
But, not really knowing what I was doing, I beamed "all" and everything
ended up as "unfiled". I guess what I should have done was to manually
TX crashes when opening WiFi?29 Sep 2006 20:15 GMT7
About half the time, my Palm TX crashes when I try to connect to a
WiFi hotspot.  The first time after a reset, the palm connects fine.
If I subsequently disconnect and reconnect, it crashes with an

EasyCalc 1.24 (with hires support) released29 Sep 2006 15:31 GMT4
A new release of EasyCalc, a scientific calculator for PalmOS,
is now available on the SourceForge project site:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=13138 .
This version, 1.25,  (finally) supports hires and the DIA.
Writing to the Tungsten T3 ROM29 Sep 2006 01:06 GMT2
The thing about my old, old T3 is that it doesn't take much effort to
drain the battery completely. The programs I need disappear, and
constantly re-hotsyncing it has become a nuisance. The salient solution
to this seems to be storing my programs (the ones I don't want to lose)
Bluetooth file copy question28 Sep 2006 16:37 GMT3
I just got a treo 650 yesterday and am not very familiar with PalmOS.
I've been using Windows Mobile for over 5 years. My question is about
transferring files to the 650 via bluetooth. When the file transfers,
the 650 asks if I want to accept it. I say yes and it immediately tries
Best secret-password program28 Sep 2006 15:23 GMT9
Has anyone tried several  of the programs which store your passwords,
bank account numbers, logins, etc. under password-encryption?
I've tried Secret!, which seems simple enough, and TealSafe, which I
haven't gotten used to yet.
Transferring from Palm Desktop to Outlook28 Sep 2006 14:56 GMT1
Apologies if this is a duplication - I asked this question one hour
ago, but it hasn't appeared.
I'm changing my smartphone to one which uses Windows mobile.  Hence I
have to move my Calendar, Contacts, To do List and Memos from Palm
How to disable wifi switching to another network28 Sep 2006 08:34 GMT1
Is there any way (built-in or programmatical) to disable wifi switching
to another network on T|X and other wifi-enabled palms? I have a piece
of software that is connecting via wifi. The problem is that there are
several public hot spots around the working area of my clients. When
Are the current generation palms (Z22, Tungsten, TX) capable of louder reminder tones than my Handspring Platinum?28 Sep 2006 05:14 GMT3
The only thing I don't like about my Visor is that you cannot hear the
alrms for appointments and such.  Are these newer models better at that?
