I have just updgraded an old computer from WinME (believe it!) to
WinXP.  The new OS does not recognize my T5 when I conect it via a USB
cable.  WinXP tells me it recognizes new hardware (palmOne handheld)
and launches the new hardware wizard. PalmDesktop and the HotSync files

I can't hotsync my Palm m130. When I press the hotsync key it says "Unable
to initiate Hotsync operation because the port is in use by another
application." Anyone knows what this is?

What am I doing wrong?
I can't get my T5 to work with Versamail to synch the drafts folder
back and forth between my notebook computer and the T5? Any advice? (If
there's already an answer, just point me to it!) Thanks in advance!

DigiDialer runs fine on the TX, but it doesn't seem to send the right
DTMF tones (as digits). I managed to do it (i.e. make phone calls with
DTMF tones) with TE but not with TX. Does anyone know why?

I've been nosing around looking for a good linux based palm-top.  I've
been leaning towards installing my own linux (e.g. iPAQ instead of Sharp);
but I'm really just looking for more of the open-source types of tools (I
use linux primarily at home, and am tired of cobbling together ...

I am looking for a candidate for a small pocket computer for use in
data logging and control purposes.
This is where one would attach a custom built interface that could
sense and control the external world.

Stopped recognizing my Treo.  Getting Error "USB Device not recognized".
Soft reset does not fix.  Anyone run into a similar problem and know of a
cure?

Can you put Macintosh OSX on an OQO handheld PC since Macs are now Intel

Generally speaking if one was to reinstall the palm software over the
existing installation which seems to be malfunctioning will this reinstall
wipe out all the existing files?
