Palm/Desktop: Want alarm 1.25 hours ahead of event

I'm using Palm Desktop 4.1.4.  I want to set the set an alarm for an
event, but I want the alarm to go off 1.75 hours ahead of the event.
It seems that I can only specify full minutes or full hours, not both
e.g. 1 hour and 45 minutes.  I also cannot specify more than 99
minutes (1.75 hours is 105 minutes).  I also cannot specify a decimal
point, as in 1.75 hours.  This seems to be quite restrictive.  Is
there a way to specify an arbitrary amount of time?  Would it
succesfully download into the Palm V?

The simple solution would be to set an event for the time you want the
alarm to sound.

That certainly works.  If possible, it'd be a great to be able to set
the alarm without filling up the calendar with extra stuff.

I use Diddlebug (freeware) for alarms. I especially like that I
can scribble notes on the alarm, as well as being able to set it
for certain days of the week. My husband uses his Palm as an
alarm clock, having set Diddlebug to only alert him on weekdays.

Lisa,

I perused the DiddleBug manual.  Does actually allow one to set an
alarm for 1.25 hours?  Does it somehow cause the Palm Desktop to
retain this information?  I often do things through the Palm Desktop
and synch with the Palm device.

You can set the alarm for a certain number of hours, minutes,
and seconds, if you wish. It's very flexible. You won't be
able to access this through the Palm Desktop, however.

Does that mean that the appointments don't show up in the Palm
Desktop, or that the alarm time gets rounded off?

Your Diddlebug notes and alarm times are not accessible
through the Palm Desktop. The alarm is not rounded off.

I find Diddlebug particularly useful because it combines a
notepad-type drawing area with an optional alarm. The note is
displayed when the alarm is triggered. The alarm can be a
countdown timer or set to a fixed date (or repeated days) and
time.

If you need to access it from within the Palm Desktop,
however, it won't work for you.

Alright.  Thanks for the pointer anyhow!
