I have a Palm M515. On 30 December, every year, only in my Palm Desktop
Calendar, I have 6 events entered all saying Unnamed - Birthday and having a
little birthday cake icon. I can't edit or delete these. They are not
visible on my Handset. I've no idea how I got them. Any ideas? And any idea
how to get rid of them?

They come from the Contacts app.

Because they are listed as unknown, you have corrupted data.

In Palm desktop, menu Tools, Options, Tools tab, next to the phrase
'Check and repair corrupted records' click the Check Now button.

Thanks for the reply Jim, but no luck - no corruption found. I ran a Delete
Duplicates and that cleaned up all but one copy of the event (although it
didn't show up in the report of duplicate events). It's got something to do
with it being a Birthday I think. In the Preferences, there is one that says
'Display Birthday Events' but I can't see anything on my Palm to let me set
up Birthdays per se.

IT IS in a Contact record, the Birthdays come from there. Look for a
contact with no name.

Thanks for your patience, Jim. You've certainly solved where Birthday's come
from (I'd forgotten all about them) but I haven't been able to find a
contact (nameless or otherwise) with that birthday - including in the Hidden
list. Guess someone just won't be getting a card :)
